Eye Contact is a locally-owned, private optometry practice delivering comprehensive eye care and quality eye wear for your entire family.
A resident of Houston for more than 20 years, Therapeutic Optometrist and sole owner Dr. Christine Tyler has been serving patients at Eye Contact since 2003. In 2011, Dr. Tyler purchased the practice from her colleague and mentor, Dr. Marc Piccolo, who had owned it for the previous 16 years.
In addition to caring for patients at Eye Contact, Dr. Tyler served as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was an attending, training student doctors in the various specialty clinics of the University Eye Institute.
Dr. Tyler offers comprehensive eye health and vision exams, as well as complex contact lens services. An Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Tyler works to diagnose, treat and prevent eye pathology, including Glaucoma, Cataracts, Dry Eyes, Ocular Surface Disease, Computer Vision Syndrome and Macular Degeneration.
Dr. Tyler’s particular areas of interest are Computer Vision Syndrome and Dry Eyes. Patients who suffer from these chronic conditions often have an underlying, undiagnosed Binocular Vision issue or Ocular Surface Disease, which is why their efforts to find relief have not worked well.
